Rather than explain exactly what we've done, we'll let the current club chairman Ralph fill you in.
For AFC Rushden & Diamonds, GFL have designed and implemented a complete bespoke database-driven customer management system. The system allows the club to efficiently manage membership and commercial information and is linked with both the club shop and turnstiles allowing for easy deployment of commercial initiatives and promotions as well as purchase tracking.
A fully-integrated swipe-card system allows for member identification at club events and on matchdays for season tickets, free entry for junior members and also in the club shop for members discount. The system is constantly evolving and GFL have on many occasions added specific required features in a very short amount of time. The result is that, using only very basic and inexpensive hardware, AFC Rushden & Diamonds has capabilities usually only available to the UK's top professional clubs. This is invaluable, not only in terms of the revenue generation opportunities presented by the system but also in terms of the professional image which it allows the club to convey.
In addition to this work, GFL have also undertaken a huge amount of web design for the club including a complete online club shop and private members area of the club website, both of which of course are linked back to the database. They have also have been responsible for the design and supply of many successful products, e.g. "part-owner" t-shirts, pin badges, leisurewear, and the very popular colour change mugs, to name but a few.
